What is expected of my Lion Scout & me?
Your new Lion scout will be required to complete 5 "Core" Adventures and (1) Elective Adventure in order to receive his "Lion Rank / Badge"
Complete each of the following Lion "Core" required adventures with your den or family:
Lion's Honor
Fun on the Run!
Animal Kingdom
Mountain Lion
King of the Jungle
Complete at least one Lion Elective Adventure of your den or family's choosing.
Ideally we would like to have the scouts complete these advancement requirements by end of February or March. If any of the adventure requirements are missed it will be up to the parent to make this item up. Your Den Leader will be happy to work with you on any make up items that are needed.
The defined / required adventures are designed to be worked on in the den. It is the Den Leader's choice if he wants each scout to pick their own elective or if he wants all scouts to do the same one as a den.
Once Core / required adventures are completed, there are a total of 13 elective adventures for your Lion to work on if your scout would like to earn extra belt loops.
Login to Scoutbook on any computer or mobile device so you can track your Scout's progress.
Parent Action Items
Complete at least (1) Elective Adventure at home if you don't do it with the Den.
Keep track of all electives adventures done at home and report them to your Den Leader.
Login to Scoutbook to keep track of your scouts "Progress to Rank"
Check with your Den Leader to see if he will need any added items such as paper towel rolls, coffee cans, crayons, markers etc. for upcoming craft projects.
Summary The Scouts participate with their adult partners. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, the environment and family understanding.
