News & Events

We have a fun and active year-round program planned, including throughout the summer!  Please regularly check this page for additional information regarding upcoming Pack, District, Council, National, and International events. Den events will be communicated via Scoutbook, the Den Calendars, and your Den Leader. Please remember that your Scout gets the most out of Scouting when they attend all events. Not only with Adventure Loops & Pins, Awards, Badges, etc., but learning and exploring new interests and skills. If you are unable to take your Scout to an event that they want to attend, ask a leader if someone can pick him up and take him, so that he does not miss out!

Order New Pack Activity Shirts for 2018/2019!

posted Oct 8, 2018, 11:11 AM by John Ezell

Pack t-shirts, also called an activity uniform, are available for purchase from the pack. All Cub Scouts should own a pack t-shirt to wear while playing sports, going to camp, or participating in other active, physical, or messy activities (den or pack leaders will provide advance notice of any occasion when they should wear a pack t-shirt). Family members are also encouraged to purchase pack t-shirts and wear them at pack and den events.

For 2018, we have an updated design.  The shirt is a wicking material that will make it more comfortable for our warm weather outdoor activities.  If you already own a previous pack shirt, you can continue to wear the old style or choose to purchase a new one.  The cost this year has gone down to $8/shirt (as long as we order a minimum of 25). Place your order by October 15th at our Pack Store.

Family Talent Survey

posted Sep 26, 2018, 9:13 AM by John Ezell   [ updated Sep 26, 2018, 9:16 AM ]

Pack 693 has grown tremendously.  By comparison we are now more than 5 times larger than we were last year.  This is awesome, but it also means we are going to need lots of parent help this year to have a successful Scouting year!

Cub Scouting is truly a family program, so there are plenty of opportunities to work together to help your Scout grow.  To assist us in matching needs to talents, interests, and expertise, we ask that each parent, guardian, grandparent, etc complete the Family Talent Survey below.

Family Talent Survey 18/19

We are looking forward to a great Scouting Season!

CTX 2 Register Now!!!!

posted Sep 18, 2018, 8:44 AM by John Ezell

The biggest event in Circle Ten Council history is less than 2 months away!  Expect lots of communications from the Pack in the next 2 months about this event.  You do not want to miss this event!!!  I have inserted some YouTube videos from the original CTX in 2015.  From talking to folks at Wood Badge this past weekend, word on the street is CTX2 will be much bigger and even more exciting!

CTX 2015 Arena Show

When:  November 9-11, 2018
Where: Texas Motor Speedway
Cost: The cost is $20 per person (Pack is subsidizing $5 per person for registration and is paying for Saturday Breakfast and Dinner for campers).  We are able to do this because of successful fundraising in the past.  Please keep this in mind and be sure to support our fundraising efforts so the pack can continue to subsidize events in the future.
Financial Aid:  Limited financial aid is available through the council for any Scout who needs it.  Please confidentially let the Committee Chair know ASAP so we can start the process, as there is a deadline.

Here is a Uniform Checklist promised to you on Thursday.

We ask all scouts to have their uniforms by the November Pack Meeting at the latest.
As a reminder, we are a "Waist Up" unit meaning Scout Pants and Socks are optional.  If you choose not to wear Scout Pants we ask that a nice pair of Jeans be worn.  In addition to the uniform pieces, Closed toed shoes should be worn to all Scouting Events (no flip flops).  This is for safety reasons.

We recommend buying uniforms a size larger.  Your Scout grows fast and this avoids having to purchase a new uniform before he/she switches to a new uniform.
If you need help sewing patches on, ask around.  There are probably some parents in our pack that are good at this and can help you out!

To ensure the safety of all our Scouts and Families, we require the following forms.
